The Club

The University Science Fiction and Fantasy Association, UniSFA, began in 1978 with the goal of getting the UWA Student Guild to pay for the members' shared book-hoarding obsession and little has changed since, although now we phrase it as an objective of the club to "encourage and facilitate science fiction and fantasy in all its forms."

Modern UniSFA is a social club for students of UWA, and friends, with an interest in science fiction, fantasy, fandom and other related areas.

And this is what we do

Clubroom & Library

The pride and joy of the club is its clubroom complete with devoted science fiction and fantasy library; TV for screenings; comfy couches for wasting time before, between, and after classes; and fridge for snacking.

We claimed the Cameron Hall space in 1993, prior to the existence of most of our members, and haven't left since due to its prime location above the UWA Tavern and near our Cameron Hall friends UCC, PantoSoc and Unigames

And this is what it looks like

Consumption and Culture Collective

a.k.a. CCC

CCC are mostly responsible for keeping the clubroom open for members as well as assisting members access the collection and any other resources and services provided by the club. The wiki has more information on their duties.

Currently we have no CCC as the campus is on lockdown, but I imagine this is the team we would have.
